Placemaking: Village Crossing
Ethnographic Research and Brand Identity, February 2017
This assignment was to create a visual identity system for a neighbourhood in Calgary. Placemaking puts great emphasis on capturing the "genius loci" of a space. After countless afternoons spent ethnographically researching (aka people-watching) Village Crossing was created. Geographically, our neighbourhood exists by combining part of Bridgeland and St. Patrick's Island.
