Pragmatics Magazine

Content Development and Layout, April 2018

This project is a study of the United Nation’s 2030 Goals for Sustainable Development. As part of a Document Production class, I was tasked with creating a magazine style publication to develop an understanding of the 17 goals. The visualization above splits the goals into people, planet, and profit, as well as displaying which goals follow through from the UN’s Millennium Development Goals.

Editor’s Note

Pragmatic is an adjective. It means dealing with things sensibly and realistically in a way that is based on practical rather than theoretical considerations.

Pragmatism is a philosophical tradition centered on the linking of practice and theory. It describes a process where theory is extracted from practice, and applied back to practice to form what is called intelligent practice.

To us, it means being analytical with the intent of action.

At Pragmatics, we are fascinated by the thought and intention behind making everyday choices. We know that each choice we make in our day-to-day lives is a choice that affects the world around us.
