North Peak Triathlon is a conceptual event brand created to promote athlete wellness while supporting environmental conservation efforts in Glacier National Park. The project challenged me to develop a complete visual identity and promotional campaign that would inspire participation while highlighting the event’s connection to nature and reforestation.

The project began with brainstorming and concept exploration focused on two key themes: endurance sports and the natural environment. Through keyword mapping, visual research, and sketching, I explored ways to connect the identity of a triathlon with the rugged landscape of Glacier National Park.

The final logo was developed around a simplified geometric form inspired by mountain peaks. The mark incorporates subtle references to the letter “N” for North Peak while also suggesting alpine tree lines and mountainous terrain. Sharp angles and clean shapes helped reinforce the athletic and outdoor nature of the event.

BRAND DEVELOPMENT

To create a cohesive event experience, I extended the identity system across participant apparel, event signage, and supporting materials. A custom pattern derived from the shapes and angles within the logo became a recurring visual element throughout the brand.

The event apparel was designed specifically for race participants and incorporated visual references to each stage of the triathlon. Additional branded elements, including feather flags and event signage, were created to strengthen brand recognition and provide a consistent experience throughout the event.

EVENT BRANDING

A variety of promotional materials were developed to support event awareness and registration efforts. This included a custom invitation package featuring a die-cut envelope, promotional discount messaging, and a preview of participant merchandise.

I also created social media advertisements and digital display banners tailored to different audience segments. While maintaining a consistent visual identity, each campaign was designed with its intended audience and platform in mind. This approach allowed the messaging and creative direction to remain relevant while supporting the overall goals of the event.

The result was a cohesive event brand that balanced athletic competition, community engagement, and environmental stewardship through a unified visual system.
